A Message from the President

Hello Members, Sponsors, and Supporters,

This year we want to make sure what we do as a chapter reflects what we are all focused on in our day jobs – Co-Creating the new world of working.  We are doing this through experimentation and pilots, including hybrid opportunities to engage, incorporating learning and development programming, and most importantly strengthening our foundation of inclusion.

The Carolinas Chapter has long been focused on inclusion of diverse leaders and members, making sure all are welcome and belong.  Over the last 6 years, we have amped up our geographic inclusion since our chapter encompasses all of North and South Carolina.  And this year we are layering on inclusion of existing members, by improving transparency to make sure everyone knows how to engage and is invited to become more actively involved.

The chapter website now includes more information about our committees, who is the board liaison and chair of each, and who is involved in each.  CoreNet Carolinas has 400 members, including 40% end users.  All members are invited to join a committee.  From our active committee members, we select committee chairs, and from the chairs and other key members such as end user leaders, we source 15-20 board members for 3-year terms.  If active leadership is a path you’d like to take, we encourage you to reach out to any board member and let us know.

It takes a village to have a phenomenal chapter like ours which has won Chapter of the Year twice, wins prizes for highest membership retention every year, puts on 40 events a year, and is invited by global to share our best practices with other chapters because we, in fact, are the best.  And we thank all our members and sponsors for making that possible!
