Come join us on Friday, August 26th at Crayons2Calculators in Raleigh. We will assist in getting them ready for their opening on Saturday morning. Our group will assist in sorting donations, stocking shelves, entering inventory, final clean, etc. The store section of their facility is air conditioned but the warehouse area is not. Please come very casual and especially in comfortable shoes! We are likely to be hauling, shifting, carrying supplies.
The Mission of Crayons2Calculators :Crayons2Calculators (C2C) serves the educational and creative needs of students in Durham Public Schools by proving FREE school supplies to classroom teachers. Supplies help teachers be more effective and efficient in their quest to educate the next generation. Teachers report that they spend on average between $500 to $1000 out of their own pockets to supply their classrooms each year and 75% say that a lack of supplies hinders their ability to implement their desired lessons.
