12/11/18 -- Raleigh, NC -- Networking with a Mission 

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Networking with a Mission event December 11. We had over 60 attendees enjoy networking, appetizers and giving back to our community by supporting the charitable organization Partnership to End Homelessness.  Abbie Szymanski, Executive Director of the organization attended and introduced the cause. Members and guests brought enough donations to fill two trucks.

 

IMG_2931.jpg12/5/18 -- Charlotte, NC -- Networking and Community Outreach for Marine Toys for Tots


CoreNet Carolinas rang in the holidays in Charlotte on December 5th at DPR Construction! The last networking event of the year was a great success with plenty of networking and catching up with friends and peers. Two Marines were onsite to help with collection and the chapter was able to collect a large bundle of toys.

CoreNet Global Carolinas held the Third Annual CORE Awards to honor individuals, projects and programs that are “Changing the Carolinas!” Over 350 attendees gathered at The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte for an evening of celebration and networking. The CORE Awards celebrates the professional successes and contributions of CoreNet members, leaders and constituents in the corporate real estate industry in the Carolinas region. 


11/7/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Work From Home vs. Office-Based Work Environments


Thank you to everyone who came out to the Dillon Raleigh. The panelists did a great job discussing what human behaviors we seek to plan for, how we use workplace analytics methodologies to create applicable measurements, and the outcomes a corporations has yielded from them.


 


kick6.jpg10/18/18 -- Raleigh, NC -- Kickin’ it with CoreNet – Battle for the CoreNet Kickball Title! 


Raleigh Young Leaders hosted the first ever Kickball Game for CoreNet members and guests on Thursday, October 18th. It was a close game but ultimately the blue team came out victorious with a 7-6 final score. Attendees enjoyed Trolley Stop hot dogs, beers from Brices Brewing provided by Barringer Construction, and music by DJ Ryan. There was no shortage of laughs or competitive plays throughout the game. Make sure to join us next year as we continue the tradition!

During the networking event held at Birdsong Brewery, pumpkins were decorated and delivered to Ronald
McDonald House. Thanks to all who attended a fun networking and sweat equity event!

 


    09/20/18 -- Raleigh, NC -- Triangle Joint Networking Event


    Thank you to everyone who came out to the Triangle Joint Networking Event on September 20th at the Citrix offices in Raleigh. Ten different corporate real estate organizations were on hand to talk about their associations and network with fellow industry professionals.

     

     

    09/10/18 - Charlotte, NC -- 2018 Mega Event


    "Smart Solutions: Inspiration in Innovation" was the focus of this year's event. Some of technology's leading voices were on hand to deliver tips for enhancing our business, staying healthy in the workplace and protecting our intellectual property. Thank you to everyone who came out to this essential CRE event.

     

     

    08/23/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Raleigh CRC Crayons2Calculators


    Thank you to everyone who came out on Thursday, August 23rd for the Raleigh CRC event. We helped organize and stock Durham's Crayons2Calculators warehouse before their grand opening day of the fall school season.

     

     

    08/22/18 - Greensboro, NC -- Triad End User Roundtable


    On August 22nd, we hosted some of our Triad end user members for a luncheon at the Treehouse on BB&T's Leadership Institute campus in Greensboro. The lunch featured an engaging roundtable discussion of "Agile Real Estate: Empowering CRE Organizations to Support Dynamic Businesses."

     

     

    08/09/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Raleigh Pieces and Parts OR a Technology Strategy?


    On August 9th, CoreNet hosted a knowledge-sharing program on technology and how it can optimize the workplace. Through both the presentation and informal "Speed-Consulting," attendees learned how technology is functioning in the workspace now, what the future holds, and were able to ask specific questions about their workspace. Check out Dane Huffman's recent article in the TBJ, "Changing the office? Be sure to communicate effectively."

     

     

    07/11/18 - Charlotte, NC -- Charlotte Technology as a Workplace Amenity


    Thank you to everyone who came out to Brewers at 4001 Yancey for our July technology program. Our expert panel presented "Technology as a Workplace Amenity," discussing how mobile applications and complementary technologies enhance the employee experience in the workplace.

     

     

    06/23/18 - Charlotte, NC -- Charlotte Habitat for Humanity Build Day


    Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday, June 23rd for our annual Habitat for Humanity build day. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves, grabbed their tools and worked throughout the morning and afternoon constructing a solid frame for a new Charlotte home.

     

     

    06/06/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Raleigh 4th Annual Cornhole Tournament


    Members and guests enjoyed a fun evening of friendly competition on June 4th in Durham for our annual cornhole tournament. This summer kickoff event also collected monetary donations for Food Shuttle: Back Pack Buddies. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this event.

     
     

     

    05/10/18 - Greensboro, NC -- Annual Golf and Tennis Tournament


    Thank you to everyone who came out for this year's Golf and Tennis Tournament. We enjoyed a great day of beautiful weather and were able to raise over $3K for the CoreNet Carolinas scholarship at UNCC Childress Klein Center for Real Estate! Thank you to all of our sponsors and participants for your continued support of the tournament and of CoreNet Carolinas.

     

     

    05/09/18 - Greensboro, NC -- Carolinas CoreNet - CRE Tech Symposium


    On May 9th, we hosted a fast-paced and thought-provoking discussion at the Grandover Resort and Spa in Greensboro on the advanced technologies disrupting the Corporate Real Estate marketplace. Our panel of experts treated us to

    some great insights on the current and future trends of technology in the workplace.

     

     

    05/03/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Rethinking the Corporate Campus and Workplace Transformation


    On May 3rd, Knoll's Vice President of Workplace Research & Strategy Tracy Wymer treated event guests to insights from a recent publication that explored the roots of information age campus planning. The strong crowd walked away with examples of what some of the hottest tech areas are doing with their campus planning and how to improve upon it. Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed this thoughtful program.

     

     

    04/18/18 - Charlotte, NC -- Beds for Kids


    On April 18th a large group of volunteers showed up at the Beds for Kids warehouse in Southend to donate their time and energy to a great cause. Beds for kids provides essential beds and furniture to children and their families in need. Volunteers spent the day cleaning furniture, moving and staging furniture, and helping organize and pack bed linens.

     

     

    03/21/18 - Charlotte, NC -- A Business Case for WELL


    A good crowd joined us on March 21st at the offices of Little in Charlotte to hear Carlie Bullock-Jones, LEED Fellow, WELL AP, and the founder and managing Principal of Ecoworks Studio, discuss building a business case around WELL, the leading tool for advancing health and well-being in buildings globally.

     

     

    03/08/18 - Raleigh, NC -- A Business Case for WELL


    Thank you to the members and guests who came out on March 8th to hear Carlie Bullock-Jones of Ecoworks Studio discuss how our built environment can shape our habits, choices, regulate our sleep, drive us toward healthy and unhealthy choices and passively influence our health through the quality of our surroundings.

     

     

    02/22/18 - Charlotte, NC -- End User Roundtable at Compass Group NA Headquarters


    On February 22nd, the chapter hosted a group of ten local real estate executives at a round-table discussion to share how agility is emerging in our leading local corporations. The event was hosted by Compass Group and moderated by chapter senior advisors and CoreNet Global MCR Faculty members Koo MacQueen and Chris LaPata.  Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy this informative round-table event.

     

     

    02/21/18 - Charlotte, NC -- February Networking with a Mission


    Thank you to everyone who came out to our Networking with a Mission event on February 21st at AvidXchange's beautiful new HQ at the NC Music Factory.  Attendees enjoyed networking, cocktails, and giving back to our community by supporting the Second Harvest Food Bank.  Members and guests brought non-perishable food items to be donated to Second Harvest's food stores.

     

     

    02/01/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Raleigh February Site Selection Program


    On February 1st, Michael Haley, Executive Director for Wake County Economic Development and Senior Vice President of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, shared with CoreNet members and guests the value proposition and differentiation the Raleigh market has to offer. He also shared his thoughts on the future opportunities of the area.

     

     

    01/31/18 - Charlotte, NC -- Outside the Office: Industrial Space and CRE

    Thank you to everyone who came out on January 31st to The Foundation for the Carolinas for our Outside of the Office event. A strong crowd of 100 people heard panelists Tim Mahoney of Wells Fargo, Brian Newton of Babcock & Wilcox, Chris Norvell of HFF, and Jeff Woolworth of Jeld-Wen discuss the best practices for operating your “Outside the Office” portfolio.


     

     

    01/11/18 - Raleigh, NC -- Raleigh January 2018 Kick Off

    Thank you to everyone who came out to our annual holiday networking event on December 7th at the offices of Barnhill Contracting Company in Raleigh. Members and non-members joined us for an evening of networking for a good cause: raising $1,250 for the Partnership to End Homelessness.
