12/10/19 -- Raleigh, NC -- CoreNet Networking with a Mission

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Networking with a Mission event December 10. We had a great turnout, everyone enjoyed networking, appetizers and giving back to our community by supporting the charitable organization Partnership to End Homelessness.  Abbie Szymanski, Executive Director of the organization attended and introduced the cause.




12/4/19 – Charlotte, NC - Holiday Social

Big thanks to everyone who joined us at our Charlotte Holiday Social and for the generous toy donations for Toys For Tots. We had a great time networking, playing games and celebrating the holidays at the amazing new Northside Top Golf Swing Suite in Uptown Charlotte.

11/13/19 – Raleigh, NC - Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on the Built Environment

We had a great turnout at Citrix in Raleigh for our November event. Our panel of industry experts discussed how AI is already being implemented in Audio Visual, Security, Energy, Indoor Environmental Quality, Space Utilization, and Construction. 




10/16/19 – Charlotte, NC - Young Leaders Fall Networking Event

Thank you to everyone who attended our Fall Networking event. We had a great turn out from our members, non-members and sponsors. We want to give a huge shout out to JE Dunn for sponsoring the food, beverages and space.

10/11/19 – Charlotte, NC - Charlotte CRC Event

CoreNet Carolinas thanks all of the volunteers who donated their time and support to help provide nutritious food to families in need at the Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte. Our group of volunteers worked to organize products that will be distributed to over 700 partner agencies including homeless shelters, emergency pantries and soup kitchens.

Our October Networking in Durham was an exciting and unique experience where our members and colleagues were able to try their hand in axe-throwing!  Attendees learned how to properly throw an axe from a trained instructor and then take part in a round robin tournament. Thank you to everyone who took part in this fun event.

We had a packed house with a record breaking number of attendees. Members from 10 different local Triangle commercial real estate groups were present: AIA Triangle, CCIM, CMAA, CoreNet, IFMA, IIDA, IREM, NAIOP, TCAR, TCREW and ULI. The night was full of networking, catching up with old friends and meeting new colleagues.

9/18/19 – Charlotte, NC - 2019 Mega Event 

Thriving in an Era of CRE Transformation, Better Ideas, Faster was the focus of this year’s event. Jeremy Gutsche lead the event with an interactive and dynamic keynote on Innovation and how to be better, faster. The chapter celebrated their 10th event anniversary with the highest attendance ever. Thank you to Jeremy, all breakout sessions speakers and all of those who were in attendance to make this such a successful event.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Thursday, August 22nd for the Raleigh CRC event. We helped organize and stock Durham’s Crayons2Calculators warehouse before their grand opening day of the fall school season.

A great crowd turned up at One Glenwood in Raleigh for our August program. Event attendees enjoyed engaging conversation on the convergence of hospitality market and office environments markets and networking with peers.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our June program. We had an amazing time working out with a run and yoga class before we heard from three great panelists who are working to include health and wellness in our new work environments.

On May 9th, the Carolinas Chapter hosted a fast-paced and thought-provoking discussion at Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, NC on the employee workplace experience and smart building technology. Thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to lend a hand at our Sweat Equity events. We had a great group of CoreNet volunteers who donated their time and hard work to help renovate rooms at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake. They also prepared an amazing feast for the families.

Corenet Carolinas thanks everyone who came to the 2019 NOT-Working/networking kickoff event! We had a great turn out and enjoyed the time to socialize with fellow corporate real estate execs, end users, service providers, and friends!

 

 

3/7/19 -- Raleigh, NC -- Strengthening Internal and External Client Relationships

Raleigh Young Leaders hosted a great event at SPACES at The Dillon with an interactive presentation by Nakira Carter of JLL.  The workshop-style discussion focused on the soft skills required for providing exceptional client service, both internally and externally. We thank Nakira for a great evening and the information shared.

We extend our deepest thanks to the CoreNet volunteers who gave their time to help the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Charlotte. The group was involved in a variety of jobs including: unload donated household items, organize and clean donations, place items on the sales floor, maintain the cleanliness & organization of the store, and assist customers with carry-outs after purchase.

Thank you for joining us while we heard Dwight Basset from Chapel Hill, Evan Stone from Cary, and Chris Johnson from Johnston County as they discussed the unprecedented growth occurring in their communities, and how their communities fit into the regional piece of the puzzle known as The Research Triangle Region.  This forum gave us an inside look into the growth strategies for their individual communities.

Attendees networked and discussed the future of 5G connectivity and the impact it will have on Corporate Real Estate in the near future. Verizon Wireless network executive Frank Cairon, Airwavz Board Member Stuart Hicks, and Airwavz Co-Founder Mark Horinko provided great insight into this important topic. We thank everyone who attended this great program at the Foundation for the Carolinas in Charlotte.

Thank you to everyone who came out to get a sneak peek of the Transfer Company Food Hall in Downtown Raleigh. We enjoyed sample drinks and appetizers from Burial Beer, Local Seafood and Che Empanadas.
